Biography: British post-punk, alternative dance and rock band 23 Skidoo was formed in 1979 by Fritz Catlin, and brothers Johnny and Alex Turnbull. The band was named after a mysterious Illuminati phrase that appeared in the work of Aleister Crowley, William S. Burroughs, and filmmaker Julian Biggs. Their first 7", "Ethics" was released in 1980, followed by the "Last Words" 7", produced by Stephen Mallinder and Richard H. Kirk from Cabaret Voltaire. In 1983, they released their second album, The Culling Is Coming. And now, you may download this album by 23 Skidoo in mp3 from our site. The first part of the album consisted of studio recordings utilizing Gamelan instruments while the second part was an improvised set using metal percussions and tape loops from their appearance at the first WOMAD Festival in July 1982. The third, live section was later added to the Boutique Records version.
