Norwegian new wave and synthpop band A-Ha from in Oslo, Norway, was formed in 1982. The band comprises lead vocalist Morten Harket, guitarist Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and keyboardist Magne Furuholmen. In 1982, they left Norway for London in order to make a career in the music business. The band signed with the record label Sub Pop and released their debut album, Hunting High and Low, in 1985. The album was a huge commercial success. Five singles from the album were released: "Take on Me", "Love Is Reason", "The Sun Always Shines on T.V.", "Train of Thought" and "Hunting High and Low". The lead single, "Take on Me", reached the top position of the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number two in the UK Singles Chart.
