A Perfect Circle is an American alternative rock supergroup formed in Bell Gardens, California, the United States in 1999. The band was formed by the Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan and guitarist Billy Howerdel. The band’s line-up also included in different years bassist Jeordie White (Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails), guitarist James Iha (The Smashing Pumpkins) and drummer Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails and The Vandals). The band has released three studio albums, all of them got the commercial success and critics acclaims. Mer de Noms (2000) was certified Platinum in the U.S. and in Canada. Second album Thirteenth Step (2003) was Platinum in the States and Gold in Canada, though it reached there number 1 on charts. The last album Emotive became Gold. The band also released singles like “Weak and Powerless” (the only one band’s hit number one), The Hollow, Blue, Imagin, Passive.
