English industrial, darkwave and gothic music band Attrition from Coventry, was formed in 1980. The band comprises Martin Bowes and Sin D'rella. The band appeared on the post-punk scene in the early 1980s. During this time, they performed along with other bands including Throbbing Gristle, Coil, Einstürzende Neubauten, and In the Nursery. Their debut album, This Death House, was released in 1982. This album received critical acclaim. Encouraged by such success they immediately began recording their second album, Action and Reaction (1983). They achieved mainstream success in 1984 with their breakthrough album, The Attrition of Reason, which yielded the singles such as "Day I Was Born", "Redoubt of Light", "You Will Remember Nothing" and "Take a Walk".
