Band of Horses, also known previously as Horse are an American indie band formed in 2004 in Seattle, Washington, the United States. The band was founded by Ben Bridwell (guitar, vocals) and Mat Brooke (guitar). The current band’s line up composes of Ben Bridwell, Ryan Monroe, Tyler Ramsey and of Ludwig Böss. The band has released two studio albums. The debut one Everything All the Time was released in 2006 with general positive reviews. The second album Cease to Begin came out in 2007 and became one of the best 2007 albums according to the Paste magazine poll. The band’s most known song is Funeral. It appeared in commercial for SUVs, in the trailer for the film Penelope, in the television series CSI. Also, rapper Kid Cudi sampled the song.
