Biography: The Blues Brothers are an American blues and revival soul band formed in New York City, New York , the United States in 1978. The band was founded by comedians John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as part of musical sketch in Saturday Night Party. The band included incredible number of members and the current lineup consists of Elwood J. Blues, Zee Blues, Steve "the Colonel" Cropper, "Blue" Lou Marini, Alan "Mr. Fabulous" Rubin, Jonny "The Rock & Roll Doctor" Rosch and Eddie "Knock on Wood" Floyd. The band’s sound is based on R & B, soul, blues, on rock and jazz elements. The band has released fourteen studio albums and has become prominent through media, mainly appearing in films and on TV. The breakthrough album Briefcase full of Blues released in 1978 which allowed them to be beyond the television screen and they filmed in The Blues Brothers movie.
