Bonnie Lynn Raitt, known as Bonnie Raitt is an American blues singer-songwriter, born on November 8, 1949 in Burbank, California the United States. Raitt began her career in early 70s signing to Warner Bros. Records. Her debut album Bonnie Raitt was received warmly and critics noted her guitar playing abilities as there were few woman at that time playing guitar well. The breakthrough to the commercial success happened in 1989 when she released her hit album number one Nick of Time. The album was certified 5 x Multi-Platinum in the US and 2 x Platinum in Canada. Her next two albums Luck of the Draw and Longing in their Hearts continued her success being 7 x Multi-Platinum and 2 x Multi-Platinum respectively.
