American country music band Brooks & Dunn was formed in 1991. The band comprises Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. They had worked as singer-songwriters before the duo's formation, charting singles of their own in the late 1980s. They are the most successful duo from any genre, having sold more albums than all others in the Nielsen/SoundScan era. They achieved worldwide success in 1991 with their commercially-successful album, Brand New Man, which was certified 6x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA. The album produced four consecutive number one hit singles such as "Brand New Man", "My Next Broken Heart", "Neon Moon", and "Boot Scootin' Boogie".
