Carlos Augusto Alves Santana known as Carlos Santana was born on July 20, 1947 Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, Mexico and referred as Mexican-born American guitarist and rock musician. He rose to fame in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band Sanata pioneering rock featuring salsa and jazz elements. Influential music magazine Rolling Stone put him at number 15 in the lsit of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He reached the mainstream commercial success with the debut album Santana which was certified 2 x Multi-Platinum. But his best-selling album was released in 1999. Supernatural was a massive hit throughout the world and was certified 15 x Multi-Platinum. The biggest hits from the album are Smooth featuring Rob Thomas and Maria Maria featuring The Product G & B.
