The Casualties is a punk band from New York City, New York formed in 1990. The band consists of Jorge Herrera (vocals), Rick Lopez (bass), Jake Kolatis (guitar) and of Mark Eggers (Meggers) (drums). The band style can be described as street punk and hardcore punk. Their recordings are known for high-energy and drive. The band members aimed to return to the “golden era” of street punk which had died according to the them by 1985. The band was influenced by The Exploited, Discharge and Charged GBH. During their career they released eight studio albums and went on U.S. and international tours having visited Europe, Japan and Mexico. The band is signed to SideOneDummy Records.
