Spanish celtic rock band Celtas Cortos was formed in Valladolid (Castilla y León) in 1986. The band comprises Jesús H. Cifuentes, Nacho Castro, Carlos A. Soto, Goyo Yeves, Nacho Martín, Luís M. de Tejada, Óscar García, César Cuenca and Alberto García. Eight friends, four of which played in the group Almenara decided to participate in a music contest under the name "Colectivo Eurofolk". They won the first prize and continued to play together changing their name to Celtas Cortos. Through the years their music mixed with different styles such as Caribbean music, flamenco, electronic music or reggae. Some of the band's most well-regarded songs are "20 de Abril" and "Tranquilo Majete". In 2008, they released their latest album, 40 de Abril, debuted on the Top Five of the Spanish albums chart.
