Chicane is a British electronic dance music act and a stage name of Nicholas Bracegirdle. He was born on February 28, 1971 in Chalfont St. Giles, Buckinghamshire, England. Nicholas began his music career from trainings in classical piano and guitar but as he was heavily influenced by Jean Michelle Jarre and Vangelis he turned to electronic music eventually. As Nicholas sais his music is also influenced by the relaxed Ibiza atmosphere where he spent his child holidays. He is known for the single Offshore which became Ibiza anthem. He has released three studio albums – Far From the Maddling Crowds, Behind the Sun and Somersault. Chicane has also collaborated a lot with many musicians like Bryan Adams, Mason, Tracy Ackerman, Tom Jones, Peter Cunnah and others.
