American pop, folk-pop and blue-eyed soul singer-songwriter and guitarist Colbie Caillat (birth name Colbie Marie Ashley Caillat) was born on May 28, 1985, in Newbury Park, California and grew up in Malibu, California. She achieved mainstream success with her debut album, Coco (2007), which debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200.
