British R&B singer and songwriter Craig David was born on 5 May 1981, in Southampton, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom. He quickly gained popularity in 2001 with his breakthrough debut album, Born to Do It, which received critical acclaim. This album produced several hit singles such as "Fill Me In", "Rendezvous", "7 Days" and "Walking Away". Born to Do It also debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Platinum six times in the UK.
