The Dead Weather is an American alternative rock band formed in Nashville, Tennessee, the USA in 2009. The group is considered to be “super-rock band” due to its famous members. They are Alison Mosshart (The Kills and Discount), Jack White (The White Stripes, The Raconteurs), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs and The Greenhornes). The band’s first live performance was held at the opening of Third Man Records’ Nashville headquarters and right after it they released their debut single Hang You From the Heavens. The debut album Horehound was issued on July 14, 2009 in North America and on the previous day in the UK and in continental Europe.
