Biography: American country and bluegrass music band Dixie Chicks from Dallas, Texas, was formed in 1989. The band comprises Martie Maguire, Emily Robison and Natalie Maines. The Dixie Chicks rose to fame with their Grammy-nominated fourth album, Wide Open Spaces (1998), which you may download in mp3 from our site. It spawned three number-one hits, "There's Your Trouble", "Wide Open Spaces" and "You Were Mine". At the 41st Grammy Awards, the album was awarded 2 Grammy Awards out of 3 nominations. It was awarded Best Country Album and for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for the song There's Your Trouble. In 1999, the band released their follow-up commercially-successful album, Fly, which debuted and peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200. The album yielded two number-one singles, "Cowboy Take Me Away" and "Without You". The album also earned 4 Grammy nominations in 2000, and the band won 2: Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for Ready to Run and Best Country Album.
