Biography: Elvis Perkins was born on February 9, 1976 in New York City, the United States. He is an American folk-rock recording artist being singer-songwriter. He’s currently signed to XL Records. He has his own band Elvis Perkins in Dearland consisting of Perkins, Brigham Brough (bass, vocals, saxophone), Wyndham Boylan-Garnett (organ, harmonium, trombone, guitar, vocals) and Nick Kinsey (drums, clarinet, vocals). The band has released its debut self-titled album in 2009. Before creating his own band, Elvis Perkins released his debut studio album Ash Wednesday. At first, it was independently released in 2006 and then it was re-released by XL Recordings in 2007. The album spawned two singles – “While You Were Sleeping” and “All the Night Without Love”.
