Biography: Eminem (birth name Marshall Bruce Mathers III) was born on October 17, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. He is also known as Slim Shady, and he is one of today’s most popular and controversial rappers. He quickly achieved popularity in 1999 with his multi-platinum debut album, The Slim Shady LP, which won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. The following album, The Marshall Mathers LP, earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest-selling album ever. It also spawned the hit singles, "The Real Slim Shady", "The Way I Am", "Stan" (feat. Dido) and "Bitch Please II" (feat. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit & Nate Dogg).
