Biography: American rapper Gorilla Zoe (birth name Alonzo Mathis) was born on March 25, 1979, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He is also a member of rap group Boyz N Da Hood. He achieved mainstream success after his single "Hood Figga" (explicitly titled "Hood Nigga") was released, followed by the collaborations with Yung Joc "Coffee Shop" and "Bottle Poppin'," which charted under several Billboard charts. In 2007, he released his breakthrough debut album, Welcome to the Zoo, which spawned two singles, "Hood Figga" and "Juice Box". The album debuted at number eighteen on the Billboard 200.
