Biography: German speed metal, heavy metal and power metal band Helloween from Hamburg, was formed in 1984. The band comprises Andi Deris, Michael Weikath, Sascha Gerstner, Markus Grosskopf and Dani Löble. The original line-up included Kai Hansen on vocals and guitar, Michael Weikath on guitar, Markus Grosskopf on bass, and Ingo Schwichtenberg on drums. The band rose to fame with their second album, Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 (1987), which is considered to be one of Helloween's best albums, credited by many to be the birth of power metal. In 1988, they released their third album, Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 2, which went gold in Germany and reached number 108 in the US. It also spawned two singles, "Dr. Stein" and "I Want Out".
