British garage rock, garage punk and post punk band The Horrors from Southend, England, was formed in 2005. The band comprises Faris Badwan (born Faris Adam Derar Badwan – vocals), Joshua Third ( a.k.a. Von Grimm; born Joshua Mark Hayward – guitar), Tomethy Furse (born Tom Furse Fairfax Cowan – bass, synthesizer), Spider Webb (born Rhys Timothy Somerset Webb – keyboards, bass) and Coffin Joe, born Joseph Patrick Spurgeon (drums). They achieved mainstream success in 2009 with their most successful album, Primary Colours, which was charted on the UK Albums Chart at number 25. The album was announced as one of the shortlisted twelve for the year's Mercury Prize award. This album also produced two hit singles such as "Sea Within a Sea" and "Who Can Say".
