Hurricane Chris, birth name Chris Dooley, Jr. was born on 1989 in Shreveport, Louisiana, the United States. He is an American rapper who rose to fame at first locally and then received a national recognition with a song A Bay Bay. This song was certified Platinum by RIAA and reached number three on the U.S. R & B chart and number 2 on U.S. Rap. The song also did very well reaching number seven on the Billboard 100. Atlanta producer Mr. Collipark heard this song and helped Chris to sign J. Records. In 2004 Chris released his debut album titled 51/50 Ratchet. The sound of the album was inspired by ratchet, a type of crunk rap music locally popular in Shreveport. The album reached number two on the U.S. Rap chart and number four on the U.S. R & B.
