Biography: American rapper and political activist Immortal Technique (birth name Felipe Andres Coronel) was born on February 19, 1978, in New York City, New York, United States. Most of his lyrics focus on political issues. The views expressed in his lyrics are largely a mixture of commentary on issues such as politics, poverty, religion, social class and racism. In 2001, he released his debut album, Revolutionary Vol. 1, which produced several singles such as "Beef & Broccoli", "The Poverty of Philosophy" and "Creation and Destruction". He released this album without the help of a record label or distribution, instead using money earned from his rap battle triumphs.
