The Jacksons, known also as Jackson 5, J5, Jackson 5ive was an American soul band formed in 1966 in Indiana, the United States. The band consisted of the Jackson brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael and it was formed by their father. The band became one of the pop music phenomenons during the 1970s and propelled Michael and Jermaine to the successful solo career. The band became the first one in the music history to produce debut four consecutive major label singles which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. These singles were "I Want You Back", "ABC", "The Love You Save", and "I'll Be There". Also the band became the first black teen icon to appeal the white audience. Later they produced more singles but none of them has ever reached the top spot of the chart even such popular tracks like Dancing Machine, Mama’s Pearl, Never Can Say Goodbye, Sugar Daddy, Get it Together and many others.
