American hip-hop singer, actor and stand-up comedian Jamie Foxx (birth name Eric Marlon Bishop) was born on December 13, 1967, in Terrell, Texas, United States. He also sang in a band called Leather and Lace. After completing high school, Foxx received a scholarship to United States International University, where he studied classical music and composition. He made his film debut in the 1997 comedy, Booty Call. He achieved mainstream success in 2005 with his most successful album, Unpredictable, which debuted at number-one on the US Billboard 200. The album produced four singles, "Unpredictable" (featuring Ludacris), "DJ Play a Love Song" (featuring Twista), "Can I Take U Home" and "Extravaganza" (featuring Kanye West). The album's lead single, "Unpredictable", reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, #2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and #16 on the UK Singles Chart.
