Biography: American rock, alternative and pop rock singer-songwriter Jason Mraz was born on June 23, 1977, in Mechanicsville, Virginia, United States. He attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, for a short time, studying musical theater before moving to San Diego. His stylistic influences include reggae, pop, rock, folk, jazz, and hip hop. He achieved mainstream success with his third album, We Sing. We Dance.
