Laron Louis James, better known by his stage name Juelz Santana, is an American rapper, producer and occasional actor. He was born on February 18, 1983, in New York City, New York, the United States. Santana rose to fame after the release of his second album What the Game’s Been Missing! The album spawned a hit single There It Go which reached number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number 3 on the Hot Rap tracks charts. Other singles were Oh, Yes (#56 on Hot 100 and #8 on Rap chart) and Clockwork. Both the album and the lead singles were certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. In March 2008 Santana was arrested for driving with suspended license and for having a bag of marijuana with him along with $20,500 in cash.
