American heavy metal and hard rock band Kiss (or KISS) was formed in 1973 in New York City, New York, the United States. The original line up of the band composed of Paul Stanley (vocals and rhythm guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals and bass guitar), Ace Frehley (lead guitar and vocals), and of Peter Criss (drums, percussion and vocals). This line-up is considered to be the most successful one. The band is one of the most popular all around the world. They rose to prominence in the middle of 1970s first of all thanks to their elaborative live performances and their look. The band used and continues using a heavy make-up. The total sales are more than 80 million copies worldwide. The band has been awarded 24 Gold albums. The band’s last album is titled “Sonic Boom”.
