German industrial rock and industrial metal band KMFDM from Hamburg, was formed in 1984. The band comprises Sascha Konietzko (vocals), Lucia Cifarelli (vocals), Andy Selway (drums), Steve White (guitars), and Jules Hodgson (guitar). Originally the band was founded by Konietzko and Udo Sturm. They began as an opening act for the exhibition of young European artists. Later, Raymond Watts and Klaus Schandelmaier joined the band and they began recording their debut album, Opium (1984). They achieved mainstream success in 1986 with their breakthrough album, What Do You Know, Deutschland?, which produced the band's well known singles including "Deutsche Schuld", "Sieg-Sieg", "Positive", "Conillon" and "What Do You Know".
