Michael Holbrook Penniman known as Mika or MIKA was born on August 18, 1983 in Beirut, Lebanon to Lebanese mother and American father. His family moved to London, UK when he was nine years old. Now he’s a singer-songwriter and musician. Mika is known to cover such genres as pop rock, power pop, electronic and pop. He released his debut album Life in Cartoon Motion in February 2007 and quickly rose to fame. The album was a real hit in stores as it achieved 5 x Platinum certificate in the UK, 2 x Platinum in Australia, and 3 x Paltinum in the European Union.
