American R&B male music band New Edition was formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1978. The band comprises Ronnie DeVoe, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill. At the beginning, the band performed all around Massachusetts. Later, they participated in a talent show, which was run by Maurice Starr. The main prize for the first place was $500.00 and a recording contract. Though the band placed second, they caught the attention of Maurice Starr and he decided to give them a chance. Thus they were signed their first contract. After this deal, they quickly released their debut album, Candy Girl. In 1996, they released their most successful album, Home Again, which produced several hit singles such as "One More Day", "I'm Still In Love With You", "Hit Me Off", "You Don't Have to Worry" and "Something About You".
