| Biography: |
English post-punk, new wave, alternative rock and electronic music band New Order from Salford & Macclesfield, England, was formed in 1980. The band comprised Peter Hook, Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert and Phil Cunningham. The band is well known for its post-punk and electronic dance sound, and in the 1980's, it also became one of the most critically acclaimed bands. All the band's members began their performances on the New York City club scene in the early 1980s. They quickly gained popularity in 1983 with their number one hit, "Blue Monday". For this single the band combined dance and alternative rock music and synthesized instruments. "Blue Monday " became the band's best-selling single to date. And now, you may download New Order's breakthrough debut album, Movement, in mp3 from our site. This album produced two singles, "Everything's Gone Green" and "Temptation", which indicated the change in direction toward dance music.
