Biography:	Porcupine Tree is an English rock band formed in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England in 1987. The band’s current line up composes of Steven Wilson (vocals, multi-instrumentalist), Richard Barbieri (keyboards, synthesizers, etc.), Colin Edwin (bass guitar, guimbri, saz) and of Gavin Harrison (drums). The band’s genre can be classified as psychedelic rock, progressive metal or progressive rock. The band has released quite a number of albums. The most popular and most favorite one for the fans is In Absentia (2002). However, the breakthrough to the mainstream success happened only 2007 with their album Fear of a Blank Planet. The album received a Grammy nomination for "Best Surround Sound Album" but they didn’t win. The album also has become the album of the year according to the Classic Rock magazine.
