American rhythm and blues, jazz musician Ray Charles (September 23, 1930 – June 10, 2004) was born in Albany, Georgia, USA. In school, he was taught only classical music, but he wanted to play what he heard on the radio, jazz and blues. While at school, he became the school's premiere musician. On Fridays, the South Campus Literary Society held assemblies where he would play piano and sang popular songs. And now, he is one of the greatest, unique and most influential musicians of modern world. He rose to fame with the hit singles, "It Should Have Been Me", "This Little Girl of Mine", "Lonely Avenue", "Drown in My Own Tears", "The Night Time (Is the Right Time)", "Georgia On My Mind", "Hit the Road Jack" and "Unchain My Heart".
