Biography: Reverend and the Makers are the indie-rock group formed in Sheffield, England in 2005. The band consists of Jon “Reverend” McClure, Ed Cosens, Tom Rowley, Joe Moskow, Stuart Doughty and of Laura Manuel. The band plays guitar pop-rock featuring funk, soul and synthpop. The band’s leader is Jon McClure a.k.a. Reverend. He’s known to be a friend of Alex Turner from Arctic Monkeys and famous for his open statements on various political themes. In 2005 the band signed the contract with Wall of Sound Records and in 2007 they released their debut album The State of Things which peaked at #5 on the UK Albums charts. The album spawned the singles Heavyweight Champion Of The World, He Said He Loved Me, Open Your Window. The last album French Kiss in the Chaos was released in July 2009.
