Richard Hawley, birth name Richard Willis Hawley, was born on January 17, 1967 in Sheffield, England. He is an English guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer. He is known for his solo work and for being a session musician for many famous acts. For example, he worked with Hank Marvin, A Girl Called Eddy and Jarvis Cocker. However, he was rejected during the audition for guitarist in Morrissey’s band. During his solo career, he has released six studio albums. The first self-titled album was released in 2001 and later re-released. The most successful his album to date is his 2007 record Lady’s Bridge. The name of the album is also the name of one of the sightseeing’s in his hometown Sheffield. The album received positive reviews from professional music media, like Allmusic and Twisted Ear.
