Silbermond (Silver Moon in German) is a German rock group from Bautzen, Germany. It consists of Stefanie Kloß (lead singer), Andreas Nowak (drums), Johannes Stolle (bass), Thomas Stolle (guitar). The group was formed in 2000 but only in 2004 the breakthrough happened. They perfrormed an opening act for Jeanette Biedermann and shortly after that issued their first single Mach's Dir Selbst. Afterwards the debut album Verschwende deine Zeit was released. It became twice platinum in Germany and gained popularity in Austria and in Switzerland as well. Top hit single from that album was Symphonie. In 2006 they released their second album Laut Gedacht and the hit single from it was Das Beste. Their last album Nichts Passiert was issued in 2009 and became a hit in all German speaking countries, i.e. in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
