Biography: American Christian rock and post-grunge band Skillet from Memphis, Tennessee, was formed in 1996. The band consists of John Cooper (lead vocalist, bassist), his wife Korey Cooper (guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist), Ben Kasica (guitarist) and Jen Ledger (drummer). Originally the band formed with two members, John Cooper and Ken Steorts. Coming from different styles of rock music, they decided to name the band Skillet. During the career, the band has spanned many different genres, including hard rock, industrial rock, and symphonic rock. In 1996, the band released its self-titled debut album. In 2003, they released their most successful album, Collide, which produced the band's most popular single, "Savior".
