Biography: Sylvan is a German progressive rock band formed in Hamburg, Germany in 1998. The band members are Marco Glühmann (Vocals), Matthias Harder (Drums), Sebastian Harnack (Bass), Jan Petersen (Guitar), Volker Söhl (Keyboard). The band itself just got the name Sylvan in 1998 but in reality it existed before. Originally the band was named Temporal Temptation but then was renamed into Chameleon and later in Sylvan. The band was influenced by Pink Floyd, Marillion and Genesis. The band has released eight studio albums and one DVD. They toured extensively in Europe and in Germany appearing even in the USA at Rites of Spring Festival in Phoenixville. Also they were a supporting act for Marillion in Cologne.
