English alternative rock and electronic musician Thom Yorke was born on 7 October 1968, in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. He is best known as the lead singer and songwriter of the alternative rock band Radiohead. He also was named as one of the most influential musicians in the music industry. He rose to fame as a solo singer in 2006 with his debut album, The Eraser, which debuted at number 3 on the UK Albums Chart and reached number 2 on the Billboard 200 in the United States. This album also produced several singles such as "Black Swan", "Harrowdown Hill" and "Analyse". Critical reaction to the album was very positive. The Eraser was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.
