American R&B and hip hop singer–songwriter, record producer and actor Trey Songz (birth name Tremaine Aldon Neverson) was born on November 28, 1984, in Petersburg, Virginia, United States. At the age of 14, he recognized his vocal abilities. Very soon his talent was noticed by others. He started performing with encouragement by his friends and family. He caught a fortune during his speech at the talent show. Right there he attracted the attention of record producer Troy Taylor. This meeting led him to a record contract with Atlantic Records. After graduating from high school, he moved to New Jersey to begin his professional music career. In 2005, he released his debut album, I Gotta Make It, which yielded the singles "Gotta Make It" and "Gotta Go". The album features guest appearances by Twista, Aretha Franklin, and Juvenile.
