Vertical Horizon is an American rock band from Washington D.C., the United States formed in 1990. The band composes of three members – Matt Scannell (lead vocals, lead guitar), Keith Kane (guitar, vocals), Sean Hurley (bass guitar, vocals). During its career the band has preleased six studio albums. They rose to fame in 1999 when they released their breakthrough album Everything You Want. The album was released through RCA records . It yielded the hit single “Everything You Want” which propelled the band to the stardom. The song has become one of the most played on the radio during 2000. This single reached the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 and of Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks. Other singles from the album were We Are, You’re a God, "Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning)".
