Zap Pow is a reggae group formed in 1970 and disbanded in 1980. The founder members were David Madden (trumpet), Dwight Pinkney (guitar), and Mike Williams (bass). The band made a great contribution to the reggae music though they haven’t been too long on the scene. One of their main songs is a massive hit single like This is Reggae Music. They were called Zap Pow Horns as well and worked for Bob Marley for some time. They released four albums - Revolutionary, Revolution, Now, and Zap Pow. There are also some Zap Pow compilations like Reggae Rules and Love Hits which you can download from our site in mp3. Reggae rules contains singles which were released by the band between 1973 and 1980. The band’s sound can be described not only as reggae but they also incorporated in their music funk, jazz and soul long time before such music variation was fully accepted by the society.
