Zed Yago is a heavy metal group from Hamburg, Germany. It was formed in 1985 by Jutta, female singer, guitarist Jimmy, who is the main songwriter and musical director, guitarist Gunnar, bassist Tatch and drummer Bubi. At first the band was SEDJAGO but as the group wanted to go into international market they changed the name for Zed Yago. In 1988 the group signed a contract with BMG and issued their breakthrough album Pilgrimage, which became popular even in Japan. The band toured a lot as a support of Deep Purple, later they toured in the UK supporting the Wasp. In 1989 the group disbanded due to many inside problems and the group was on hold till 1997. They reformed again but with new lead singer Yvonne and shared the stage with Manowar and with Motorhead. Later in 2002 the compilation of the best Zed Yago songs was issued and you can download it in mp3 from our site as well as the last group’s album The Invisible Guide.
