Thomas Zehetmair is an Austrian violinist and conductor. He was born on 23 November, 1961 in Zalzburg, Austria. He debuted in the music world at the age of 16 at one of the music festivals. He attended the Salzburg Mozarteum where both of his parents taught. In master classes he studied together with Nathan Milstein and Max Rostal. In 1994 he formed his own String quartet which bears his name – Zehetmair Quartet. They learn all works by heart and perform using only their memory. They make the new program every year. At the same time he’s a conductor and got his first position in 2001 as the conductor of Northern Sinfonia. You can download many of Thomas Zehetmair works in mp3 from our site.
